Healthy communities start with school initiatives such as those that promote local food production and care of the environment in which we live.

Working on a Lottery bid, we provided a costing for the application, resulting in a successful bid with public votes for a Tomorrow's Garden, currently under construction. An orchard will also be included.

Learning to socialise, chat in a safe environment and foster citizenship develops a healthy mind. A Friendship Stop, part of a transformation of the infant playground which included activity play equipment, story telling chair and stage.

A colour therapy garden for a sculptor, maximised the use of colour to bring harmony.

JEA worked with the pupils to provide a vision plan. Their ideas were compiled and used for images, which were used on the school display board to invite parents, Governors and staff to participate in the long term plan, by helping and fundraising. The main structure of the plan was undertaken by contractors, to our specification and detailed plans and planting schemes. Images include photographs of a revisit to the school some years later when the planting had grown up. A flower meadow identified on our plan had grown amazingly well, and a super kitchen garden of raised beds had evolved and was undertaken by the school.
